The Level-3 Award in First Aid at Work is a training programme that teaches participants everything they need to know to become a qualified first aider in the workplace. It covers a wide range of topics and provides in-depth knowledge and skills. This course builds upon the Level-2 Emergency First Aid at Work course by providing additional information on a broader range of medical emergencies, injuries, and illnesses that may happen in a workplace environment. During the course, participants will be taught advanced first aid skills that go beyond basic knowledge. These skills include cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), which is a technique used to revive someone whose heart has stopped, as well as wound management, fracture immobilisation, and other important techniques. The training aims to provide participants with the skills and self-assurance to assess situations, make suitable decisions, and apply necessary first aid treatments effectively.
Assessments and Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) are used to test this skill. The learner must pass both tests with a certain score in order to get this qualification.
